DORMA SVP 5000 Emergency Escape Lock

SVP Automatic Emergency Escape Lock after each closing cycle – offering the ultimate in both convenience and security. The automatic deadbolt projection of 20 mm ensures that the door is always locked in accordance with property insurance requirements. The additional anti-thrust engagement of the clawbolt latch provides two-point locking for enhanced security.

Product features
  • Emergency escape/panic function in accordance with EN 179
  • For narrow stile and timber doors
  • Automatic relocking action
  • Readily retrofittable, no cabling required
  • Universal trip latch

Convenient, safe and secure

The SVP 5000 emergency escape lock is particularly suitable for apartment or house doors, as well as project build doors for which no status monitoring is required. Thanks to the emergency escape function, the door can be readily opened by simply operating the lever handle, while the automatic relocking mechanism ensures secure lock re-engagement once the door has closed.

The emergency escape function means that the door can be opened at any time in the exit direction by simply operating the lever handle. Mechanical opening from the outside remains possible at any time via a key to unlock the europrofile or round cylinder insert.

Easy to retrofit

As the lock is purely mechanical, there is none of the usual, sometimes complex cabling work required at the door. Installation or retrofitting is therefore particularly simple – the existing mortise lock merely needs to be replaced by the SVP 5000 unit.

Operational versatility

SVP locks are available in different models suitable for over-rebated or flush-closing timber doors and also narrow stile doors. They are likewise flexible in terms of their installation position thanks to the non-handed (universal) trip latch. They have been approved as emergency exit locks for doors in escape routes and for use on fire and smoke check doors.

Product Details:

Product codeDORMA HZ 43-F
FinishChrome
LatchCranked
Spindle typeSplit and adjustable

The Automotive Flush Bolt (locking device for the passive door panel) with a split spindle for double-panel fire and smoke doors provides the solution for all double-panel door systems, particularly for fire and smoke doors. Users may unlock and open the active panel with the flick of a wrist, which simultaneously unlocks the passive panel allowing it to be opened. Thanks to its split spindle and the broad range of adjustments, the HZ-43F flush bolt is ready to meet various structural requirements in conjunction with very low mounting effort.

Product features
  • Automatic locking and unlocking of passive panel
  • Split spindle with simple plug-in feature
  • Adjustable locking plate unit (retainer bushing)
  • Locking towards the top or bottom
  • Left- and right-handed version
  • Suitable for application at fire and smoke doors

The solution for double-panel door systems

DORMA flush bolts allow the automatic locking and unlocking of the passive door panel of a double-panel system. Users may unlock and open the active panel with the flick of a wrist, which simultaneously unlocks the passive panel allowing it to be opened. The system automatically relocks as soon as both the active and the passive panel are closed - no special knowledge regarding the handling of the locking device or any additional action is required to lock the system.

Reliable function and low mounting effort

Thanks to its snap fit, the HZ 43-F does not need any additional bolting. The adjustable and flexibly-mounted spindle only requires a milled slot for the latch keeper and a hole for the lock bolt - so there is no need to rip up the door panel or to remove any part of it. Its two-piece design allows easy compensation of mounting tolerances and provides the door system with maximum stability.

For all fields of application

The HZ 43-F is suitable for mounting at the top or bottom of double-panel timber and metal doors and can, for example, be used in conjunction with DORMA automatic operators and door coordinators. The HZ 43-F flush bolt is approved for application at the fire and smoke doors, provided that this is allowed by the approval certificate for the door concerned.
